Dr Taylor is the principal chiropractor at Fremantle Chiropractic. She has a special interest in looking after difficult and chronic cases as well as infants and children.
Taylor completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2000 then travelled to Sydney and completed a Masters in Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2004. She joined her father Dr Kenneth Vagg in practice at Fremantle Chiropractic at that time. Upon graduation she received the Edwin Devereaux medal for Outstanding Service and the Gary Stavrou award for Manipulative Excellence.
She served as a director on the board of the Chiropractors Association of Australia for 8 years and in 2011 was honoured with the CAAWA Chiropractor of the Year Award.
Dr Jenny Askwith
Bsc Chiro, B Chiro
Dr Jenny is the director of Fremantle Chiropractic.
I was born in Perth and spent my childhood growing up in the northern suburbs. Once I graduated from school I attended Murdoch University to complete my chiropractic degree. I received a few awards upon graduating, namely the Michelle Wallis Prize in Chiropractic Skills and Technique.
After graduating from Murdoch, I moved to take a job semi-rurally south of Perth where I had been working and living until recently where I have moved back to Perth to Fremantle Chiropractic.
I am currently completing a diploma in Chiropractic Pediatrics and am passionate about advocating care for all family members. I have also enjoyed attending frequent seminars and courses to allow me to diversify and harbour skill in a range of areas.
I believe in a balance of work and play. My passions include anything family, outdoors, cooking and spending time with my loveable hound Humphrey.
Dr Stephanie Brindal
Bsc Chiro, B Chiro
Dr Steph has been a Chiropractor for over 10 years. She studied here at Murdoch University then moved to Sydney where she started her career, practicing on the Northern Beaches supporting the local families and the community for 7 years. She then moved back to Perth in 2019 to join Fremantle Chiropractic. Dr Steph is continuing to love being a part of the South Fremantle community and very much enjoying the lifestyle. Her passions include getting out and enjoying the outdoors, hanging out with her adorable pup Ralph and open water swimming.
Wanting to further expand her knowledge, Dr Steph has done extended education in nutrition, families, pregnancy and paediatrics. These courses have included Pregnancy Care, Total Body Modification Thompson Technique and has recently completed her Diplomate in Chiropractic Paediatrics (DACCP).
In addition to furthering her studies, she has had the privilege of voluntary work with the impoverished communities in Siliguri, India and Manila, Philippines doing health checks, education and providing care to those in the community.
Dr Steph loves seeing people at all their different stages of their lives, who always take a holistic approach to their health to improve their vitality.
Dr Isla
Bsc Chiro, B Chiro
Dr Isla is a dedicated chiropractor and the newest addition to our team at Fremantle Chiropractic. Growing up in the Wheatbelt on her family’s farm, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and genuine passion for holistic health and wellness. Isla completed her studies in Perth at Murdoch University and shares a special interest in women’s health and nutrition.
With a background in dance since a young age, Dr Isla transitioned into practices like Pilates and yoga, recognizing the importance of movement in fostering a profound mind-body connection. Beyond work, Isla enjoys Pilates, yoga and leisurely walks with her border collie, Maple, always accompanied by a good cup of coffee. Committed to individualised care, Isla strives to empower patients to become active participants in their health journey and achieve optimal health through chiropractic and mindful movement.
Jasminka Zaneta
Practice Manager
Jasminka joined our Fremantle chiropractic family in 2020, after coming from a retail management position.
She wanted to use her customer service skills in an environment where she could make a positive change in a person’s life, through the healthcare industry.
Her favourite part about her job is getting to know people from all walks of life, and building connections with them. She loves talking to people so when you’re in practice don’t hesitate to start up a conversation (if she doesn’t beat you to the punch). Jasminka is very close to her family and partner Carmelo, and they enjoy spending time together around the dinner table or going for a good walk. When she’s not in the practice, Jasminka also spends time on her fashion label Zanetta, where she uses her creative talents to design and manufacture women’s clothing.
We Commonly call her Mink, so please feel free to use this nickname!
Melissa Hadley
Chiro Assistant
Melissa recently joined our Fremantle Chiropractic family and comes from mainly a hospitality management background.
Originally from Wellington in New Zealand, Melissa moved to Perth over ten years ago ‘for a look’ and fell in love with WA and the Fremantle lifestyle. She has since married a local and has two energetic young boys. Her happy place is spending time with friends and family down at the river or beach, or at home cooking yummy food.
With her background in customer service and passion for the health industry, this was the ideal role for her to thrive in and enjoy whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance. She loves getting to know everyone and their families, so make sure you say hi.
Erin McMahon
Chiro Assistant
Erin is new addition to the Fremantle Chiropractic family.
She has a background in music, dance and circus which piqued her interest in the body and mind and how it can be supported to function at its greatest. She enjoys learning about holistic therapies that nurture the wellness of the mind, body and spirit.
Erin is excited to join a team where she can learn more about the function of the body as well as use her service gene from many years in the hospitality industry, to build meaningful relationships with the Fremantle community. She loves to create a space for everyone to feel welcome and at ease.
When she’s not in the practice you can find her flying in the air performing, drinking coffee or at the beach with her dog and partner Dean.
